Environmental Education for Shenandoah County Elementary Students

We live in one of the most desirable outdoor environments in the nation. A former issue of Outside magazine named Woodstock, VA as one of the best recreational areas to visit. Interestingly, when we are out on the trails or paddling in the river, the majority of the children we encounter are visitors to our area. Our desire is to get the young people who live here out into nature, thereby increasing both their knowledge of their environment and their fitness level.
